Course Details

What you'll learn

In this session, Brad explains how medical clearance to drive works for young people with autism and ADHD, and what parents need to understand about the Austroads fitness to drive guidelines.
You’ll learn when a diagnosis does (and doesn’t) need to be reported, how medical certificates and assessments are used, and how driving ability is assessed based on function – not labels. The session also explores conditional licences, common concerns that trigger assessments, and how parents can support their teen through the process with less stress and more clarity.
