Understand the three essential skill levels every learner driver must master—especially relevant when supporting individuals with autism

Course Details

What you'll learn

In this session, we explore the three-tiered model of driving skills—operational, tactical, and strategic—using an upside-down pyramid framework. You’ll learn how to identify where a learner is in their development, why foundational skills like smooth pedal control matter, and how to scaffold learning experiences to reduce overwhelm. This is especially useful for trainers or parents supporting learner drivers with autism, helping them build driving confidence step-by-step.
